I think that my mac may have some bad ram in it somewhere. Im not quite sure really but OS X dies really hard sometimes and that seems to be a good explanation for it dying.
I just hope its the pathetic little 32 meg DIMM and not one of the 128 meg DIMMs.
Anyway, I have like 23ish pages to compose over the next few days. So far I have about 2… yeah. I have some problems to deal with this week.

AIM for Blackberry

I found a pretty good application that is a free AIM client for the blackberry. This is just future reference for myself.

Mac Performance

I decided to search for ways to improve performance on my Mac today. The first thing I discovered in the land of Google was that some people had decided to offload the swap files on to secondary drives. This seemed like a good idea so I went for it. I had some hard drives laying on my desk of questionable working order so I decided to put to use what of the drives may still work. Quickly I noticed that I could only get my Swap partition to properly format so I abandoned the rest of the drive and continued on.
After a little configuration and a reboot I can actually use garageband without my box dying. This is great I am going home and digging up a drive that is less potentially broken and installing that.

mmmmmmmMac

So.. I made the plunge. I bought a used Powermac G3 on Saturday. It took all Sunday to get Mac OS X installed and start to get used to the os. Anyway, to the point, its sweet. All I need now is about 512 megs of ram to add in to the box. I think when ever Apple unveils its dual dual core g5 machines I will be buying one.

w00t! I got the job.

Minors

I always said i would never minor in math. However thats exactly what im going to minor in now. Its the only minor i can finish quickly in the fall. Im taking two math classes and then I’ll graduate with a degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in applied math. I hate math! How wierd is this?
