I am back. Back from LJ laziness. Today is the first day of classes. I have two classes in a row starting in about in hour. I have a new/sweet setup for my work area now. Instead of dealing with my KVM again I brought up my second monitor and set myself up a dual display arrangement.
I have been pondering and working over an idea of a personalized homepage that would store all my links for me so I wouldn’t have to keep all my computer syncronized manually. I created an XML and PHP based system(which I decided to call LinkList for the time being) to manage my links over the past 3 days. I am calling in done for now. I’m going to spend some time cleaning/documenting my code then I’ll throw it up on sourceforge. On a side note, everyone around me has been hearing about how great Zend Studio is from me. I kinda built thing project as a trial for buying the software to be used on a much large project. I enjoy the idiot tools that most *good* IDE’s provide(code completion, on-the-fly syntax checking, etc) and Zend gives me all that for PHP.
Along with unified linkage I setup a phpICalendar so I can give that out to people instead of printing stuff off or compiling my schedule in to some sort of boiled down form.
Since my last update I also bought a ATI Radeon 9600 XT to replace my mad dirt old GeForce 2MX in my primary machine. Its not the fastest thing on earth but it will keep me going for another 4 years. A bonus of the card was it came with a Half Life 2 serial for Steam so I have every variety of Half Life 1 to keep me busy till HL 2 comes out. (I just reminded myself I should go reserve a copy of Doom 3 so I can get the free poster and figurine if they are still running that promo).
