Snort needs to get some good reporting tools. I hate that attacking a PC with jolt2 created 10k+ alerts in the database. ACID just doesn’t handle that many rows nicely. Aggregation in to one attack would be nice..not that anyone really cares.

I hate comcast.. Every night 8pm my connection starts losing 20%+ packets. It screwed up everything.

Having 15000 rows in a mySQL db on a p166 with 96 megs of ram is a bad idea. Stupid code red filled up my IDS logs(over time of course).. Its taking forever to delete all these entries

I love my new laptop:
You cant really see how wonderful the screen is from the picture. If you ever buy a Dell laptop and have the option for an Ultrasharp screen .. pay the money it is very worth it. I run 1600×1200 right now and I love it.

They are taking my laptop from me at work. BLAH! Its a good thing I am getting my new and way faster one today. How am i supposed to work? I can’t work on some crappy 266 P2 box that is made out of scraps. I have real work to do and more often than not it requires some sort of decent laptop. ok i am done ranting for the moment. In 2 hrs I’ll be smiling again when UPS shows up.

Yawn. I bought a laptop yesterday.. or so I think. I’m still waiting on an order confirmation from Dell. Inspiron 8200 : P4 1.7 ghz, 512megs DDR, 40 gig 5400rpm hd, GeForce 4 mx440 64meg, 15″ UltraSharp screen, and the usual integrated NIC/modem stuff.

Yawn. I was bored so I install the LJ client since I just formatted my hard drive because my old(25gb) one was dying so Dell gave me a new one(30gb). Now I have room for my whole mp3 collection at work. I already filled 4.3 gigs of this drive and thats just Windows 2000 and all the applications I use a lot.
