My current computer situation is that I now have a cable modem shared out through my house
with a linux based router. I also have another computer in addition to my laptop for my linux
and C++ work. I will post new items as I write things that seem worth while to post. Stuff: Hackers Software: Debian- Debian..The Linux distro of choice for the elite hacker. Well.. maybe. Either way I like Debian and find it to be quite nice. WinZip- A basic requirement to browse the web. It lets you extract ZIP archives as well as many other archive formats. Pkware- Makers of those famous old DOS utilities that I have been using since I was 9, Pkunzip and Pkzip. XEarth- Ever wanted to look at earth from space 24/7. Xearth changes your background to a view of earth from space that rotates. My Software(stuff i have written)- Now that I have learned C++ mostly I wrote a piece of software based off another PERL script's algorithm that decodes :Cue:Cat input. Cuehack-:Cue:Cat decoder. A cuecat is a free barcode scanner that is being given away for free at Radio Shack. There are at least 7 other pieces of software that do what I wrote better but enjoy. Also, if you would like to look at some of the older code I left it here Old Stuff I am learning file I/O in VB(/wo API), this is like a mutant notepad that has a toolbar. Eventualy as I learn and root through the help files and online books I will implement zillions of functions that notepad doesnt have..I hope.. but check it out. Oh yeah if it doesnt work tell me, I will post an Install program then but, i didnt feel like making a wizard today. Character Map- Just like the program that comes with Windows. I just wrote it because I was bored and needed something to do but it was written in Delphi as my first program to be released. CyberEdit Version 2 FINAL- 5/18/99- no more versions, I have moved on to API look for new and cooler software now. If you want to use version 1.5 install this first because it will install the libraries you need to run it. CyberEdit Version 1.5-5/1/99 CyberEdit Version 1-4/30/99 Clock Programs- I wrote these in C the other day. Clk.exe just shows the time once, and clock.exe shows the time and updates it. -All software below here will be API software, I just started with it and it looks quite simple once you get the hang of it. Shutdown- My first experiment with API, this program could be quite interesting if you put it in someones startup menu(hehe). (*** I am not responsible for work lost if you can't figure out waht it does(it shuts you computer down)***). TimeUp- Tells you how long your computer has been on in Windows. QuickDial- A simple application to dial a phone number for you. CompuDial- Dials up the Compuserver number and orders disks for you(good for getting free disks but it does not work that good(im serous its horrible). |
